3. Gateway Terminals India (GTI)

Also operated by APM Terminals, a part of the Maersk Group, GTI is one of the most efficient terminals at JNPT. It features state-of-the-art equipment and has consistently achieved high berth productivity.

4. Nhava Sheva (India) Gateway Terminal (NSIGT)

This is another terminal operated by DP World and was established to expand JNPT’s overall capacity. It plays a critical role in managing increasing cargo volumes.

5. Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals (BMCT)

Operated by PSA International, a Singapore-based global port group, BMCT is the newest and one of the most advanced terminals at JNPT. It has boosted the port’s capacity significantly and introduced semi-automated operations.


Cargo Handling and Capacity

JNPT has an annual container handling capacity of more than 10 million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units). It has witnessed consistent growth in cargo throughput over the years. In the fiscal year 2023-24, JNPT handled around 6.5 million TEUs, maintaining its position as the top container port in India.
