Concord Pacific to Host Fourth Annual Tour de Concord and Free Family Bike Festival on July 7, 2024
VANCOUVER, BC – May 10, 2024 – Concord Pacific is proud to announce the return of the Terry Hui Concord, now in its fourth year, along with the Free Family Bike Festival, taking place on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 at Concord Pacific Place (88 Pacific Boulevard) in Vancouver.
From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., spectators can experience the fast-paced thrill of criterium-style racing, with amateur and professional cyclists competing on a newly upgraded, fully enclosed 900-metre course. Highlights include Amateur Races, Men’s and Women’s Pro Races, and a Kids Fun Track Lap for children ages 3 to 12. Riders from across Canada, the U.S., and internationally will be taking part.
A special Charity Team Race will support the St. Paul’s Foundation in its mission to transform healthcare through the new St. Paul’s Hospital at the Jim Pattison Medical Campus. Teams of three will compete in a 7 km ride to raise critical funds. Supporters can donate or back a team through the foundation’s website.
Mayor Ken Sim expressed the city’s excitement:
“We’re thrilled to welcome the Tour de Concord back to Vancouver. This event is more than a race—it’s a celebration of community and a meaningful way to support the new St. Paul’s campus. With thousands expected and a variety of free activities, it truly showcases our city’s spirit.”
Terry Hui, CEO of Concord Pacific Developments Corp, emphasized the broader mission behind the event:
“This year’s Tour de Concord is a celebration of our shared commitment to wellness, sustainability, and community. The success of our Burrard site will directly benefit the new St. Paul’s Campus. Alongside our upcoming North East False Creek site, we’re contributing to building healthier, more connected communities and helping deliver the homes BC needs.”
Cecilia Tupper, Chief Development Officer at St. Paul’s Foundation, shared her appreciation:
“We are proud to co-host Terry Hui de Concord with Concord Pacific. Their support—and that of the cycling community—will help transform healthcare at the new St. Paul’s Hospital, set to open in the False Creek Flats in 2027.”
