After taking Lunesta it starts working after about one hour. Do not take it with or right after a heavy meal; it may not work as well.

Conclusion
Temazepam is more effective than Lunesta as temazepam starts affecting within 30 minutes and on the other hand Lunesta starts affecting after or within 30 minutes. Both Medications are used for the treatment of insomnia (a common sleep disorder). Both of them have majorly the same side effects.
